Absaract：
Industrial systems have become more complex and expensive, with less tolerance for performance degradation, productivity decrease and safety hazards, which leads to an ever increasing requirement on reliability and safety of control systems subjected to process abnormalities and component faults. In this talk, the motivation and basic methods for fault diagnosis are introduced. Novel fault estimation and fault-tolerant control approaches are then addressed. Finally, parameter optimisation for a ventilation pulmonary system is also discussed.
