Abstract: The need for clustering is across  many disciplines and as a result innumerous clustering methods have been  developed in last fifty years. After highlighting k-means clustering and its  issues, I will present a brief overview of clustering with consensus wherein  many drawbacks of k-means can be overcome by generating multiple clustering  solutions and integrating them via consensus. The talk will conclude by a brief  discussion of multiview clustering and a solution to it being developed in our  lab.

简历：Ishwar K  Sethi，美国奥克兰大学教授，Department  of Computer Science and  Engineering。因为在统计模式识别和神经网络领域的突出贡献，于2001年1月当选IEEE  Fellow，曾在包括IEEE  Trans. Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence，IEEE  Trans. Systems, Man, and Cybernetics，Pattern  Recognition，IEEE  Trans. Circuits and Systems for Video Technology等国际顶级杂志上发表文章50多篇；曾在包括 Proc.  First Int'l Conf. on Computer Vision, Proc. Int'l Joint Conf. Neural Networks,  Proc. IEEE Computer Vision Workshop, Proc. IEEE Int'l Conf. Systems, Man, and  Cybernetics等国际知名会议上发表文章110多篇。
